Support to Thalassemia patients: Direct financial support for blood transfusion, medicine and other support to the ultra-poor and destitute from PKS own Zakat Fund

Donation to Thalassemia patients for blood transfusion from PKS Zakat Fund

PKS has been providing financial support to Thalassemia patients networking with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, JASHORE unit for blood transfusion from its own Zakat Fund since 2022.

In addition, financial and medicine support being provided for the ultra-poor and destitute for their treatment purpose from the same Zakat fund.

Up to December 2024, financial & medicine and other supports given to the mentioned numbers of patients given below-

  • Thalassemia patients (Blood Trans. Support) : 1,185
  • Medicine support : 334
  • Financial support for treatment : 49
  • Spectacle distribution : 360 piece
