Under GoB’s HNPSP (Health, Nutrition & Population Sector Program) funded by USAID through Chemonics International, this project was continued from 2008-2011. Under this project, PKS delivered ESP (Essential Service Packages) services from fixed static clinics and satellite clinics to the catchment population by trained and skilled medical professionals (Doctors, Paramedic, Nurses, MA, FWV). The delivery centers were branded as ‘Surjer Hashi Clinic’. In 2010 the number of Static Clinics raised to 26 from 17 (these 9 clinics were included in PKS from Fair Foundation as per donor’s decision). From this time onward, total fixed Centers & Satellite clinic of PKS became 26 and 82 in number respectively. Among these facilities, four were EmOC (Emergency Obstetric Care) clinics.During this project period, there were extensive renovation of the Static Clinics.
It focuses primarily on expanding access to key ESP (Essential service packages) services, promoting improved maternal and child health practices, preventing and treating infectious diseases and further strengthening of BCC (Behavior change & Communication) activities. It also emphasized on increasing service utilization and cost recovery to achieve sustainability.
